Hi fellow book lovers, I am sure many of you have made resolutions to read more books this year. As a writer, I pledge to fulfill my part of the agreement by writing more amazing books for you. If you haven’t read my latest work — Batey Ascending — yet, you are in luck. In this blog post, I will be writing about the book without ruining the suspense. Most definitely, you will love it.

My inspiration to write Batey Ascending came from information recently gathered about my Caribbean heritage.  This left me feeling envious of the people who lived at that time. The Caribbean in the ancient days lived exciting lives with a wide range of entertainment. Trust me, I mean wide. At the top of the list is the Batey game. I couldn’t resist. Spinning a mesmerizing fictional tale about Batey while infusing futuristic features into the story.

In the book — Batey Ascending — you will read about the courage of a young man named Nico. He is one of the lucky humans who made it into an alien ship before the earth was destroyed.

Accommodated by the aliens, things soon become exciting with the reinvention of the old Caribbean fun game called Batey. Bored, with little to do, humans on the alien ship soon focused on playing Batey and winning the game. Batey was such a fun game on earth. Still, this time, the humans take it up a notch, leveraging futuristic technology on the alien ship.

There are shoe jets, levitation, and advanced body fitting accessories that could make either of the teams win. The battle for Batey supremacy rages on as Nico, the protagonist, struggles to be the best in their newfound living environment.

Do you like dessert?

Funny question, who doesn’t like dessert. Batey Ascending could be easily described as a dessert if the book was food. The script is a professionally blended short story that infuses futuristic attributes in competitive sports action, adventure, friendship, betrayal, science, and suspense. It is a beautiful work of fiction.
