Batey Descendiendo is a super production not to be missed. For this second book, I wanted to make sure that the story of Chilly, our Ice Queen of the Sphere Field, to be narrated by women capable of bringing this important character to life with their voices. For the English version, I had the beautiful voice of Luana Maranz. And in this Spanish version, my virtual assistant Fiorella Amer Carr surprised us with her performance.
To complete the excellent narration, we subjected the story to an editing process to add incredible sound effects that will take your mind to this dystopian future.
Why did it take so long to get the audiobook out in the end?
Some of you may remember that I have been telling you about this great project since March. And yes, we were almost ready back then, with a launch expected for April 1st. However, although it was not the way I wanted it, I had to postpone this event until now.
Every piece of work I do together with all the people who collaborate with me to make my dreams a reality also helps us learn how to make the next one better and better. And that’s exactly what happened with this story!
During this continuous learning process, we already learned a lot, but that does not avoid mistakes and stumbles. Technical setbacks that led us to re-record, re-edit, and virtually start from scratch days before the scheduled release date. Not so pleasant moments that took us two more months. But that we appreciate today because the result is totally worth it.
